      He’s actually from Kentucky, which is not a Southern state!

        It seceded in the War Between the States – I’m pretty sure that makes it Southern. Not Deep South, certainly, but Southern nonetheless.

          HMMMM I always heard it described as northern/midwest because of its geographical location but that explanation makes sense to me
