When Figley was first introduced, I just rolled my eyes at him all the time (not at Figley the Character, but just at the things he said/did, like I would if I knew him in real life). He’s slowly grown on me, and now, after this, I just want to give him a big hug and a high five and tell him he’s the best.
Fer real! At first I was like, “Ew Marlene, what the hell? Your taste in men, just- just ugh.” Now I know Marlene has the best taste in all things and Figley is amazing.
I really should stop judging a book by it cover especially since coming to see how great a charcter he is. (But I never will.)
Boys should never be afraid to say fruity things! I think every girl secretly wants their boyfriend to be just like a gay man, but attracted to girls. And I suspect that boys want almost-lesbian girlfriends. It is the paradox of heterosexual attraction.
